The Conspirator debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2010. Director Robert Redford says he and his cast strived for accuracy to shed light on a little-known part of Abraham Lincoln's assassination.On left: Redford directing James McAvoy who portrays Frederick Aiken, the lawyer defending Mary Surrat (Robin Wright) who is accused of conspiring to kill President Lincoln.
Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have acquired distribution rights and are planning to release the film in spring of 2011.
