MFLL: What led you to start sewing bags, hair iron cozies and other goodies?
Farragio: Believe it or not I nearly flunked the sewing course in my Home Economics class in high school!  (Do they still have home economics these days? LOL)  I have always enjoyed crafts but sewing didn't come naturally at first.  I got married right out of high school and because of our limited budget I figured if I wanted curtains and other nice decorations I'd better figure out this sewing thing.  My craft and sewing interests have evolved through the years and I'm always looking for new ideas which has led me to make bags and totes and other accessories.

MFLL: What are hair iron cozies for? I've never seen them anywhere before.

Farragio: Hair iron cozies are a great way to store your hair appliances, such as straighteners or curling irons.  My daughter gave me the idea when she mentioned she wished she had something to put her straightener in when she's traveling.   Like when you're in a hotel packing to leave and you've fixed your hair but you don't want to put a hot straightener in your suitcase.  They're also great just to keep in the bathroom as a pretty way to store your hair appliance.  To use one you just insert straightener or iron into the cozy, gather cord and tuck inside, then fold flap over.

MFLL: Who are you and what else do you do in your life?

Farragio: My name is Angela and I've been married for 23 years, have two great kids ages 21 and 18, and work as a part-time secretary.  I enjoy reading, watching independent and foreign films, I like listening to all types of music, and I play competitive tennis.  Until I started my sewing business this year, I was obsessed with tennis and played it all the time.  Running my business is my other obsession now so it's challenging finding time for all the things I enjoy.

MFLL: Any important information we should know about you, your shop, or anything I forgot to ask? :)

Farragio: Ummm, nothing really comes to mind.  I just started my shop in June and have really enjoyed the process of starting a business.  I'm fortunate in that not only do I enjoy the creative side of things with making my items, I also enjoy bookkeeping and website design, so it's been a fairly smooth process tackling all the things that go into starting and running an online business.
